USS ARIZONA by Miles Standish 2 Oz Silver Coin 10$ Palau 2021
This wonderful 2 Oz Silver coin commemorates the sinking of the USS Arizona battleship during the Japanese attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor. The coin was designed by Miles Standish, has an incredible design, features a beautiful High Relief and comes in a case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 1.941 pieces worldwide. The reverse of the coin depicts an incredible image of the USS Arizona Anchor, a memorial to remember the 1177 crewmen killed during the Japanese attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. All around the anchor, a frame with stars and some rays in the background. The design also includes the inscriptions: "USS ARIZONA" – the name of the battleship, "December 7, 1941" – the date of the sinking, "PEARL HARBOR HAWAII" – the location of the attack, "2021" – the year of issue of the coin and "MS" – Miles Standish's initials. The obverse of the coin depicts a detailed image of the USS Arizona before its sinking. On the left, the Coat of Arms of Palau and the inscriptions: "REPUBLIC OF PALAU" – the country of issue and "10$" – the face value of the coin.
