Description
I have a production services company and I have a bunch of gear that I’ve acquired over the past decade and a half or so – some of it is gear I don’t use anymore, some of it are deals that were too good to pass up, and there is some stuff that I bought for future projects that at this point, don’t have a future.None of these items are NEW. Some of them might look MINT in the pictures but I don’t want to be on the hook for it so please be aware that some items may have scratches, dings, smudges, stripped or missing screws, scratchy pots and other misc. imperfections and are
expressly
sold “
AS-IS
”.
Some of the items have seen little use and are in great shape but a lot of it is stuff that would ideally be bought by someone who would take the time to giving it a good servicing.
Hopefully, I have priced it accordingly.
I have been on ebay 20+ years. When I started using the site it was a great place for me and like-minded people to buy & sell USED stuff.
Twenty years later the number of users has blown up and I find that some people use this site like Amazon and expect the stuff to be a new purchase for them and wish to return it when it’s not what they “imagined” or it was just a whim on their part in the spur of the moment.
If you’ve come this far, I would assume you know what you are looking at.
Unless otherwise noted, all this stuff has been tested to be in good working order and will get tested again before we package it up for shipping.
If you are extremely “picky”, please do NOT bid.
Unless you can make the case that I have grossly mis-represented the item,
there are no refunds or returns.
Please check my feedback. It speaks for itself.
If you need anymore information or specs on this equipment, please feel free to email me.
If there’s something about this unit you can educate me on, let me know.
SHIPPING:
BUYER PAYS ALL SHIPPING COSTS.
I am a meticulous packager and that always seems to works to the buyer’s advantage.
I try to ship at least once a week. I do not offer same day shipping. My zip code is 44147 if you’d like to try and calculate shipping. If you are serious about buying, you can contact me in advance for an estimate on shipping and I will do my best.
Ebay’s shipping calculator is pretty hit or miss and I reserve the right to contact you with any discrepancies in cost that come up while I’m packing the item up and setting up the shipment.
This auction is for buyers who live in the continental United States ONLY. If you live outside that you may contact me with your full shipping address and I will consider selling to you.
Thanks for looking and I appreciate your patience if you’ve read through this completely.
DESCRIPTION:
I have about a dozen audio consoles I will be listing this week. I am using this description for all of them for some context.
These consoles came from installs that went away, wholesale lots that I bought out, things I bought for a future project that went nowhere and our own inventory that we are retiring from service.
I should have done this a few years ago, this stuff has been sitting in storage for quite a while.
Earlier this year, I brought in a couple guys who spent several days going through all of these. We ran a combination of CD Signal and a 58 through each channel verifying channel functions and routed signal through all the console's Aux Sends, Sub Groups, Matrices and Master Section functions.
They exercised static from controls when it came up, De-Oxit'd buttons and switches when needed and cleaned up dirty faders when they came across them.
If you don't have any experience with older analog consoles and the typical issues that go with them, Please DO NOT BID.
Scratchy Pots, Static from Buttons and Switches, dead channels, ribbon cable issues.... if you don't know that that is typical with this era of consoles and don't have the where-with-all to live with "work-arounds", Please DO NOT BID.
Having stated all of this, the majority of these consoles were working pretty well. But that's not to say that these common problems might not come up again.
These consoles have been cleaned up. They look pretty good in the photos but that's not to say they don't show their age. They may have scratches and scuffs that can't be seen in the photos.
Knobs and Faders Caps could be damaged or cracked and screws may be missing from the chassis.
Again this is all par for the course with consoles of this age.
Taking this all into account - AGAIN, these are being sold "AS-IS" and there are NO Refunds or Returns.
Yamaha M3000-40C
This came from a corporate setting. It's in a case but it lived most of it's life in the tray with no lid.
The top of the console shows plenty of wear. It has some bent faders, at least one pot that is broke-off at the stem and a few plastic knob caps that are stripped.
Just before this was retired, it had the ribbon cables worked on. All the connections were repaired, tightened up or permanently soldered.
The guys went over this pretty thoroughly and the biggest issue was that when they first fired it up after a decade of sitting in storage, it took at least 30mins for all of it's functions to warm up. It took less time every day after that while they were working on it. I'm writing that off to the extended down time but I wanted to include that in the listing.
We have a three of these so we are well versed in the analog functions of these consoles. As far as we can tell this one is working pretty well despite the condition of the top of the console.
We do NOT use the automation in these and did not test any of it's memory or recall functions so I cannot say if those functions are working properly.
It comes with the original PSU and Road Case. The case the PSU is in is NOT included with this listing.
This is set for local pick-up only.
