"Patina Blue" - hand dyed rug hooking wool - (1) Fat Quarter 100% Wool

Description

Beautiful hand dyed 100% wool fabric for rug hooking, penny rugs, applique and many other projects. This wool is hand-dyed in color known as "Patina Blue", nice dull antique grey blue color.  This series is from my vintage collection and is available dyed on natural, oatmeal and a bundle pack of 1/16 each natural, oatmeal and 2 different textures.   My dye process allows for lots of movement, mottling, marbled effect and a spot dye all together on one beautiful piece of wool. Each fat quarter or 1/4 yard piece measures 18" x 26" after washing and drying.   Custom dye orders are welcome, including dying whipping yarn to match.
Our Wools are very soft and smooth, very nice to work with, and cuts like butter. All dying is done right here on the farm in my studio. After the wool is dyed, it is then washed with eucalan soap and dried to give it that soft fluffy feel. Our wool comes from a smoke-free environment, but very pet friendly. Your wool is ready to use.
A fat quarter measures 18x30 inches before washing. Wool is a natural fiber, therefore it does shrink during the dye/wash process. Finished sizes will vary due to different wools. Please feel free to email with any questions, or if you need a special color.
