Actor Ram Charan, who served as the chief guest at the 80th National Mushaira Ghazal event at Kadapa Dargah, visited the Durga Devi temple to pay his respects and seek blessings. His visit to Kadapa as the chief guest of the event fulfilled a promise he made to music maestro AR Rahman.
Upon his arrival, the actor was greeted with immense fanfare, as his enthusiastic fans went berserk with excitement at the sight of him.
This year, as the RRR actor is observing the Ayyappa Deeksha, he was clicked wearing the traditional all-black attire associated with devotees. He greeted fans enthusiastically from the top of his car, which sent the crowd into a frenzy, prompting the police to intervene and control the situation.

It appears that last year, maestro AR Rahman, a regular visitor to the Dargah, informed the authorities that he would bring Ram Charan to the event this year. During the same time, Rahman told Charan about the Mushaira Ghazal at Kadapa Dargah and invited him to attend as a special guest. Charan graciously accepted Rahman’s request and confirmed his participation in this year’s 80th National Mushaira Ghazal event on Monday, November 18, in Kadapa.
On the work front, Ram is gearing up for his next film, Game Changer. The movie also stars Kiara Advani in a key role.
Game Changer has been in the making for over two years now. Apart from the lead pair, the S Shankar film includes talented actors such as SJ Suryah, Srikanth, and Anjali as a part of their ensemble cast. Initially set for a Christmas 2024 release, Game Changer was pushed to January 10, 2025.
